Steam Deck gets a few extra fixes in Beta

By -

Valve released another small Beta update last night, which pulls in a few useful sounding fixes for the Steam Deck. This is available in Beta and Preview. To change over you can find it in Settings > System > Steam Update Channel.

Here's what's changed:

  • Added error dialog for when the user clicks on a mailto link
  • Set scale for startup movies so that the top and bottom of the movie are cropped for 16:9 aspect ratio in docked mode
  • Fixed issue in desktop mode that sometimes made it difficult to drag the Friends List
  • Fixed glyphs for third party Nintendo Switch controllers while streaming
  • Fixed inaccurate location of context menus for the Friends List in desktop mode
  • Fixed a bug that could prevent exiting offline mode in the same session where the client entered offline mode

In case you missed it, I did a little video on Battlefield 1 on Steam Deck recently and I was quite impressed overall by how it runs and it's pretty fun:

Funnily enough, I just experienced this for the first time the other day. Lol. Guess it had to have a last hurrah before it got patched out.
