I hear the faint sound of my wallet trying to escape, as the Steam Autumn Sale 2022 is now live with the usual massive discounts on thousands of games. Running until November 29th at 10am PT / 6pm UTC.

On top of that Valve are also kicking off the Steam Awards, with a brand new category (inspired by the Steam Deck) of "Best Game on the Go". Who bets Vampire Survivors wins that? I wouldn't be surprised.

Their trailer is below for the event:

This time I've gone over and picked out some deals for you on games I know that are good (that I've actually played). I'll be mainly sticking to Steam Deck Verified titles, with a note in brackets if they have a Native Linux version or the rating on ProtonDB (also not going below a Gold rating on ProtonDB for desktop Linux).

Glad they added the option to skip the VR category this year. \o/

I have been buying from GoG for DRM free games which has allowed me to skip these sales. I still get the itch sometimes but glad my wallet and always growing backlog are safe. I’ll probably use this opportunity to guilt friends into purchasing some coop/vs games I already own though.

Burning Knight (native Linux) is at 90% discount in the sale. Quite tempted by that one.

Also Warbanners (native Linux) at 70% discount.

I wanted to purchase Pentiment this month, but now Solasta, Outer Worlds and Pathfinder are really calling me. Any tips/recommendations?

Thank you GabeN for making me feel grateful, if only for a fleeting moment, that I don't even have a wallet to run away from me.

I used to pick something bit random or something I think is somewhat popular. Now their data will hopefully be bit more valid

Luna's Fishing Garden is, surprisingly, a big temptation. It's got very good reviews.
