Love turn-based games? Well, now is your chance to stock up on a few and wishlist what might look to be some great upcoming games for you in the #TurnBasedFest on Steam.

Nowhere near as big as the Valve-run stuff directly, but these smaller events run by others are still a great way to discover some new favourites. The event runs until December 12th.

Valve still need to do better at promoting these smaller events. I often miss them completely, because they just don't actually show up anywhere on Steam that I look. Hopefully Valve will make them easier to find.

There's some absolute gems included that are on sale like:

It's not on this list, but I just bought "Stolen Realm" to play with a couple of mates and even though it's turn-based, it's an absolute blast. Great customisation, fun battles, and because everyone takes their turns simultaneously, the pacing is superb. Big thumbs up from me!

I think I was put off before because the screneshots made it look/feel like a 6 player party game and that's a lot to juggle. But nope - I played it single player, party of one, and it was great. Even better in a party of three with two mates. Or mix it up and take 2 characters each. Loads of variety and the game scales accordingly.
