Game store Fanatical have put up another Steam Deck Verified game bundle and there's some great looking gems inside. All of the games included are Deck Verified (at least at time of writing), and so they should work just fine on Linux desktop too.

The way it works is that you can add more for a bigger discount: 3 for £4.99, 5 for £6.99 or 8 for £9.99.

Here's the options included:

  • Roundguard
  • Daymare: 1998
  • Time Loader
  • Neon Abyss
  • Lethal League Blaze
  • Tesla Force
  • Blacksad: Under the Skin
  • Toodee and Topdee
  • Golf Club Wasteland
  • Everhood
  • 3000th Duel
  • Kill It With Fire
  • Caveblazers
  • Lacuna – A Sci-Fi Noir Adventure
  • Cats in Time
  • Lawn Mowing Simulator
  • Hellbound
  • Nongunz: Doppelganger Edition
  • PAYDAY 2

There's definitely a few there that interest me, so I might even pick up a couple myself.

I installed Caveblazers on the Deck yesterday actually, works perfectly fine as you'd expect, and bouncing on heads with the downwards strike is outrageously fun, but I was amazed at how bad I was at it this time round.

I believe I beat it (under some definition of "beat" for rogue-lites) years ago, but I was struggling massively this time round. It has a certain floatiness to it, not too dissimilar to the original Super Mario Bros, and I think it takes some time getting used to.

Still, if you're looking for an option for the bundle, I'd heartily recommend it if you're into the genre. Doesn't push the boundaries that much either for newcomers.
