As if it hasn't sucked away enough of our free time already right? Vampire Survivors: Tides of the Foscari is arriving on April 13th. Giving you a bunch more content at a small price of $1.99 / €1.99 / £1.59.

This is the second DLC for the ridiculously popular auto-attacking action survival game, with the first DLC Legacy of the Moonspell being thoroughly well received by players.

"Nestled deep within a continent-sized forest is Foscari Academy, a school where the elite of the world train their children for careers as powerful wizards, indefatigable generals, and expert spies. The Academy is divided into three houses, a premise hitherto untouched in all of fantasy fiction. Three students, one from each house, brave the journey into a forest stuffed with mythological creatures, all to have a jolly adventure, with absolutely nothing interrupting the whimsy. This is all mind-blowingly original stuff, we know, but it only gets better folks."

What to expect from it:

  • 8 allegedly never seen before characters.
  • 13 new weapons between base versions and evolutions. Including the sword, the arrow, and the magic.
  • 1 large stage: a forest called Lake.
  • 7 brand new music tracks.
  • 21 achievements.

The developers are still working away on their port to Unity, which is now available in an opt-in Beta. Looks like the Native Linux build is there and up to date too. This should hopefully solve some of their performance problems, along with giving them a solid foundation to keep building on and make porting easier in the long run.

Congrats!
I found that the last DLC made me want to play the game less, exactly because *finishing* the game suddenly seemed unachivable. Now, after weeks without Vampire Survivors, I consinder myself clean
