Dead by Daylight gets Steam Deck Verified

By -

Well, I've been waiting to see what the public official word would be on Dead by Daylight and now it's official. Dead by Daylight is now Steam Deck Verified.

Recently I wrote about how it had been working for a week, with no public word from the developer. But now it's Steam Deck Verified by Valve with the official DBD Twitter account has announcing it too, plus they highlighted it on their Steam announcements as well. So you don't get much more official than that. For Deck Verified, Valve set it to use Proton 8.0-2 by default.

You can see my previous video on it below:

Plus I did a recent YouTube Livestream showing it off as well.

This is excellent news, as one of the most popular multiplayer games on Steam, having it all official is fantastic. And yes, it works just fine on desktop Linux as well. Even on the Steam Deck, it runs at 60FPS on Medium settings, you don't exactly need a lot of power to get good performance out of it.

Buy your copy on Humble Store or Steam.

It's been working perfectly for me on Artix. Never felt this game so smooth before, not even hitting 100fps on Windouts.

That is great! Now do PUBG, Rainbow Six Siege, Destiny 2, and CoD Warzone next 😎
