Sumerian-Akkadian mythology blended together with Dieselpunk, certainly quite a unique setting in Erra: Exordium which released with Linux support recently. Along with Native Linux support, they said they're also working to ensure it gets Steam Deck Verified.

"Erra: Exordium is a 2D action adventure game in Dieselpunk setting. Explore a world based on Sumerian-Akkadian mythology. Take the role of a scientist who was able to cheat death and fight the rebellious army of mechatrons."

The world and character design definitely looks good in this one, check it out:

I'm somewhat reminded of Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, here, which is no bad thing - will have to keep tabs on this one.

Agreed, seems very cool - I'd love exploring the mysteries and secrets such a world offers. Movement looks a little on the clunky side at the moment, let's hope it gets more fluid before full release.

That is some good looking pixel art. Hope the gameplay matches up. Not quite enough content for me to get into it now, but I'll keep an eye out.
