Dead Cells hits over 10 million sales

By -

Something that not many indie titles are able to do, Dead Cells has now managed to hit over 10 million sales and still going strong. This news was shared in a press release yesterday June 5th, via Tinsley PR.

It's not really a surprise though, Dead Cells is an absolutely magnificent game that keeps you coming back for more. It's had tons of free content upgrades, available on many platforms and a few DLC that have all been quite well received too. There's been updates from small additions to crossovers from other games and even the recent Return to Castlevania DLC which had plenty of positive reviews.

From the press release: "Following the success of Dead Cells: Return to Castlevania, Evil Empire has been exploring the path forward for the title as a whole. With years of successful updates and expansions behind it after taking over live ops of Dead Cells in 2019, the studio is tinkering with its time-tested methodology, experimenting with ideas for future updates and new ways for fans to enjoy one of their favorite roguelikes."

Sounds like there's plenty more to come for Dead Cells…

Originally developed by Motion Twin, the studio has basically split into two with Evil Empire an off-shoot of people from Motion Twin but the two work closely together.

You can buy Dead Cells from Humble Store, GOG and Steam. It has Native Linux support and it's Steam Deck Verified with the Native Linux version too.

3 of those sells are my fault. And I paid for the board game kickstarter's campaign a few weeks ago. I never have enough of this game and I've been coming back to it every few months since 2018, I just love it. And for what I've read, they have updates planned until the end of 2024, for now.
