Today the Steam Summer Sale 2023 is live once again, where a great many developers put up big discounts for their games. You know the drill right? Your wallet is already hiding from you.
Not only are lots and lots of games on sale but the Steam Deck is as well. You can pick up the 64GB model with 10% off, the 256GB model with 15% off and the 512GB model with 20% off right now. Interestingly, the two lower models have been out of stock in the UK for a while but now they're back in stock - I wonder if Valve were hoarding a bunch ready for the sale expecting many to get sold at once.
Valve also put up a special Top 100 page for the Steam Deck so you can easily scroll down through a nice list with discounts and expected compatibility with Deck Verified ratings. You can also get the Steam Deck on sale on Komodo for select regions.
Valve made a trailer for the event too:

As always - if you find a particularly good deal for a game that works on Linux or Steam Deck be sure to comment and give over your own recommendations. I'm currently going over my own wishlist but my pile of shame is already rather long at this point.
For a few quick picks I can recommend Valheim (40% off, highest discount yet), I will also never not recommend Deep Rock Galactic (67% off) both great co-op games. Now that Dead by Daylight (60% off) works great I can also suggest that as great fun.
Valve also has a few little treats with a free sticker to claim each day, a new seasonal badge in the Points Shop, two new Artist Profiles and some chances to earn Summer Sale trading cards to level up your Summer Sale Badge.
Check out the sale on the Steam store. The Steam Summer Sale 2023 lasts until July 13th at 10am PT / 5pm UTC.
Gaben, have mercy.

Quoting: amataiIs there a minigame this time ?
They haven't done a mini-game in years.. probably because they were always over exploited by scripts.

I do miss those and old sales in general. I mean I love big discount time, don't get me wrong, but just little silly fun things along with it felt neat.
One can buy a quality 512Gb NVME drive for, what $100 or less.
So you get the $650 one for the price of $450!
Not bad!!
Although I'd have to justify gaming enough to buy one, lol 😆🤣😆
And System Shock is 20% off! That's a buy for me!

My disappointment is immeasurable...... and my day is ruined.......
Quoting: iskaputtWow, this one seems like a terrible sale. Grim Dawn only down by 50%, same for Dark Souls 3. Same 70% on Witcher 3 as always. Scrolling through my wishlist, most discounts are really lackluster. Not sure if I'll buy anything.
I haven't taken a thorough look yet but yeah, I was really hoping Elden Ring would be a bit less this time around, though that might never happen. Not much I am really interested in got knocked down alot it seems. Big Steam discounts and my gigantic backlog have turned me into a cheap bastard.
It's also worth noting that the Steam Deck Docking Station is in the sale as well!
As for recommendations, I'd just like to point out these;
Ape Out (Proton, £3.19)
Bail or Jail (Obakeidoro!) (Proton, £7.74)
Ex-Zodiac (Early Access) (Native Linux, £5.99)
Horizon Chase Turbo (Native Linux, £3.09)
Mega Man 11 (Proton, £8.24)
Micro Mages (Proton/NES, £2.07)
New Super Lucky's Tale (Proton, £7.49)
Pac-Man 256 (Native Linux, £1.59)
Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy (Proton, £9.89)
Pizza Tower (Proton, £11.24)
Race The Sun (Native Linux, £3.49)
Spelunky (Proton, £2.19)
Tanglewood (Native Linux/Mega Drive, £6.99)
Zool Redimensioned (Proton, £2.39)
All games that I've enjoyed a great deal, some of them at absolute knockdown prices right now.
