If you need help managing Windows games from GOG you can try Heroic Games Launcher and Lutris, they really help to simplify things and keep everything tidy. It seems that the games are (very) good, but personally, they make me feel so uncomfortable that I can't play them. I've played a bit of the first one and watched some videos on youtube of 1 and 2.
I have trouble with side scrollers, but the mode of navigation doesn't matter for this game, it's a point and click story game and traversal simply involves pressing the A key. I'm going to admit that I'm getting pulled in and want to discover the story.
Sloppy scripting though...
