Released originally back in April, Transmogrify is a puzzle-platformer where you play as Chris — a janitor stranded at Future Perfect Labs where strange and deadly specimens have breached containment and overrun the facility. To help you get through it, you have access to the experimental Transmogrify device, which allows you to transform living creatures into tools and structures to get through various puzzles and platforming and hopefully escape the lab.

Just recently the developer added Native Linux support to the game, check the trailer below for more:

Game Features:

  • Platform and puzzle your way through 75 levels across 4 unique worlds as Chris, the "courageous" janitor!
  • Overcome the bizarre experiments of Perfect Future Labs - and trust us, they get weird.
  • Solve the mystery of the emergency laboratory lockdown alongside your newfound AI companion, Grace.
  • Get that classic Sega Genesis and Super Nintendo feel with beautiful graphics, a unique mechanic, and a killer soundtrack.
  • Jump straight into the action - no long, drawn-out tutorials in this laboratory.

Speaking about the idea behind the game the developer said: "Transmogrify was conceived in the 2015 Ludum Dare game jam with the theme of ‘Unconventional Weapon’. A user on Twitter posted an added challenge of making the weapon non-lethal. I wanted to make something that felt different than the standard run-and-gun. We want players to feel smart as they teach themselves to solve puzzles, and discover new ways to do so. We want them to feel empowered as they act on their environment in different ways and to emphasize with Grace’s plight as the story unfolds within this facility."

You can buy it on Steam.

Sounds like a PETA approved game....
