Valve continue cleaning up regressions with a new Proton Experimental release put up on August 18th, so here's what's been sorted this time.
Changes:
- Re-enabled NVAPI for Rachet & Clank: Rift Apart after a recent game bugfix.
- Fixed games crashing when dragging files / images over a game window.
- Fixed Proton Experimental regression: WHITE ALBUM: Memories like Falling Snow and Forza Horizon 4 are playable again.
- Fixed a few Proton 8.0 regressions:
- Makai Kingdom: Reclaimed and Rebound is playable again.

How to change your Proton version:
Steam Deck:
- Pick a game in your Library and head to the little cog icon on the right.
- Click Properties, then Compatibility on the left.
- Make sure the tickbox is done, then select Proton Experimental from the dropdown.
On a Linux desktop:
- Right click a game, go to Properties.
- Compatibility on the left.
- Make sure the tickbox is done, then select Proton Experimental from the dropdown.
