Just recently the open source PlayStation Remote Play app for Steam Deck, chiaki4deck, got a big update but it came with a few issues that needed solving and a new v1.6.1 is out now. Plus a fun new feature was added.

This is a great app for those of you who have either a PlayStation 4 or PlayStation 5 and a Steam Deck, especially when you want to continue gaming but someone else wants the TV it's connected to. This is actually a fork of the original Chiaki, with enhancements to make it work better directly on the Steam Deck along with better documentation.

New features and fixes in v1.6.1:

  • Fixes console registration.
  • Fixes fullscreen double-click and F11 shortcuts.
  • Don't close main window when closing stream session on MacOS.
  • Adds option to sleep PlayStation when sleeping Steam Deck.

Available via an AppImage from the release page or Flathub.

If this is a fork for the Steam Deck, why do they have binary releases for win and macos?
