Tomb Raider I-III Remastered is releasing from Aspyr and Crystal Dynamics on February 14th, and now Valve have given it the green tick of approval as it is now Steam Deck Verified. It was tested on the latest stable Proton 8 release, so as long as you use that across Steam Deck / Desktop Linux you should be good to go.

With this bundle you'll get Tomb Raider I + Unfinished Business, Tomb Raider II + Golden Mask and Tomb Raider III + The Lost Artifact. Aspyr say it has upgraded graphics, with the option to switch to the original polygon look at any time.

Will you be picking it up to have a nostalgia blast? Worth pointing out the open source re-implementation of Tomb Raider 1 (1996) TR1X also exists. Remasters can be a pretty great thing to bring new audiences to older games, although they don't always hit, so hopefully Aspyr were careful with the Tomb Raider I-III Remastered collection.

I probably will*, but it probably won't be at launch - I want to wait to hear others' experiences of running it on Linux first.

*If it's saddled with DRM I won't touch it with a ten-foot pole - I'll go the TR1X route in that case. But the Steam page doesn't currently suggest its presence, thankfully.
My first game to pre-order on Steam!
I've been waiting for a long time to be able to play this trilogy in good conditions and on recent hardware.
I hope the remasters will live up to my expectations.

Expansions are the big deal for me. Hopefully, that Times level is coming with TR4.

Not to mention: I hope this is functional. After the many technological trainwrecks of 2023 especially I just assume that it won't be, and hope to be proven wrong.

This is going on my Steam wish list. Not my old wish list which had no chance of ever being completed but my new cut down must-have wish list. I'm so far behind on what I already have to play!

I'm going to start getting more stuff on Gog as well, so maybe this.

Really wondering about the controls, because you have people who love, and people who hate tank controls.
This blog mentions Tomb Raider I-III Remastered will support both, with the modern controls taking inspiration from the Legend trilogy:

I'm getting this from Microsoft actually. Cause it's Play Anywhere from them. I'll get it eventually, but not right away. It's on my wishlist though.

Also, I don't know if it'll feel the same as playing it in DOS or on the Sega Saturn. Playing it on there just as some charm too. Even with DOSBox.

I will almost 100% picking it up, and it's great that it's already been verified before even release

This one in particular hits me in the nostalgic feels, I'm 34 this year and grew up playing these games on PC, fond memories of being sat next to my dad watching the warm glow of the crt.. and searching for topless lara on the dial up 😂

I'm also from Derby so feel very proud of its heretidge, we have a road here called "lara croft way" in her honour 😊

So did you also play Destruction Derby back in the day? :)
