EmuDeck 2.2 adds a new Pegasus Frontend, better Linux support, new emulators

EmuDeck 2.2 has rolled out, for those of you that want easy installs and configurations of emulators across various different systems like Steam Deck, Desktop Linux PCs and more.

One of the bigger changes this release is the inclusion of the Pegasus Frontend as an alternative to EmulationStation-DE (now called ES-DE). EmuDeck 2.2 also comes with a new redesigned UI theme too as standard. You also get a theme selector for both of the front-ends.

For Linux fans it sounds like a good one with direct ChimeraOS support, along with better support for a wide variety of Linux distributions. 

There's also new emulators supported including:

• Flycast
• BigPemu
• Sega Model 2 & 3

You'll get new Steam Input profiles, the ability to swap between Xbox and Nintendo button layouts, preliminary support for setting emulator languages through the EmuDeck, an emulator resolution selector and lots more tweaks and improvements all across the app itself and various emulators that got fixes. Dolphin for example got all profiles switched over to SDL, which they said "fixes the long-standing issue of controllers not working after waking up the Steam Deck from sleep". RetroArch also had its Input Driver switched to SDL and loads more.

Something that may prove a little controversial is that EmuDeck will still work with both Citra and Yuzu, as long as you have them installed, but EmuDeck will not provide them directly after they were both shut down by Nintendo. They also won't remove them for people who had them installed initially.
