Another biweekly release of the Windows compatibility layer Wine is here, with Wine 9.4 bringing some new features and a few nice sounding bug fixes.

Highlights of this release are:

  • Bundled vkd3d upgraded to version 1.11.
  • Initial OpenGL support in the Wayland driver.
  • Support for elevating process privileges.
  • More HID pointer improvements.

They noted 25 bug fixes including fixes for the likes of: Total Commander, Minecraft Education Edition, Multiple .NET 4.x applications, VOCALOID, Battle.Net, EA App and various other fixes.

From the vkd3d v1.11 release (as covered recently):

  • Initial support for compiling legacy Direct3D bytecode to SPIR-V.
  • Initial HLSL compiler support for compiling effect profiles.
  • Miscellaneous bug fixes and performance improvements.

this wine version as talked before give a huge update for 32bit games and this affect stability

normally wine shows suddenly crashes in various 32bit games but with VK_EXT_map_memory_placed, this problem has been resolved in various games in my case

avatar (movie based) the videogame

in before tests this game show suddenly crashes and sometimes freezes in blue lagoon, normally dont be possible explore all blue lagoon at begins because show suddenly crashes in any moment

but now with lastest mesa and wine-git (now 9.4) dont show any crash in around 4 hours of gameplay

yeah with flag give less crashes but still have crashes in blue lagoon, dont be possible explore all area without crashes
