If you're in need of a new puzzle-adventure game like the classics, CLeM looks like a wonderful game to add to your library and it's Steam Deck Verified now too. Release on February 6th, developer Mango Protocol has created something rather special here.

The developers are calling it a "puzzlevania", where you explore (and re-explore) an ever-changing mansion as you solve various puzzles and piece together a story that explores themes of manipulation, forgiveness, and redemption. Overall it sounds quite a unique experience.

More about it: "Your journey in CLeM may start in a dark, cold basement, but you’ll soon be exploring environments ranging from vibrant tropical greenhouses to grandiose studies, and each new location is packed with carefully constructed details and interactable elements to uncover. All of this is presented through a distinct hand-drawn art style that offers a distinctly unsettling aesthetic without compromising the player’s ability to recognise on-screen elements they can interact with."

Game Features:

  • A new genre, “Puzzlevania,” intertwines puzzles and exploration. Discover hidden secrets in each room as you delve deeper into the mysteries with every crafted magical toy.
  • Unique and beautiful art style with hand-drawn elements.
  • 2D graphics with 3D environmental navigation.
  • Challenging and diverse puzzles to solve.
  • An enigmatic story with a dark turn.

No reports currently on ProtonDB for Desktop Linux players, but since it's Steam Deck Verified it should work just fine thanks to Proton.

Available to buy on Steam or GOG if you prefer.
