Another festival of games is live on Steam now with Steam FPS Fest 2024 running until April 22nd at 10am PT / 5pm UTC, and there's also plenty of demos for games to try too.
For those of you building up thousands of Steam Points as well the Points Shop also has a couple of new items for the event. Good, because I have nearly a million and need something to do with them…wait a minute, they're free?!

I'm absolutely diving back into Fallout soon myself, after recently finishing up Alan Wake, as I don't like to play more than one story game at the same time. Can't wait! The show really gave me the itch to need more.

Reckon I'll still stay clear of Fallout 76 though. To this day, it still gets crap reviews, and while it might only £7 in the sale at 80% off, it's apparently rammed full of MTX begging for your money.

Just to play devils advocate to Fallout 76... I bought the game at release and, content wise, it has grown quite substantially since it released... not the least of which because it was finally given legit NPCs. The MTX situation is true. While the vast majority is cosmetic related, they so sell those items that "help you" skip the more grindy parts of the game (like repairing weapons and collecting scrap)... I will admit, I lost a lot of respect for Bethesda when they put up those later items. None-the-less, the game proper can be a blast, especially if you have a buddy or two to explore with, and when I say you can play the whole game without ever touching the MTX content, I mean that. If you ignore the MTX content exists, I think you'd be hard pressed to feel like the game was that much different from Fallout 4... at least it was for me.

Then I create a character, then I try to interact with one of the object on the first desk from the very start (in the room of the character) ... got back to the Desktop directly.
Tried on my dual boot on windows, same experience on the same object... Seriously? Supposed to be a AAA game or something like that, but no credit in this company to do stuff seriously?
I moved to install Fallout2 again and start a new run.

The Skyrim case is much clearer; there is a "Anniversary Edition" listing, but it's a "sub" which clearly lists the "Special Edition" as part of it.
