Monster Prom 4: Monster Con has now been officially announced, taking the series a little more back to its dating sim roots. Looks like no release date has been given yet but it will have Native Linux support once again.

This sequel brings you into a wacky new setting: the Monster Con, a massive convention filled with video games, comic books, anime… and more than a few paranormal activities. You can expect a multiplayer narrative adventure full of colourful characters and hilarious dialogue that the series is well-known for.

Features:

  • The signature style of the Monster Prom franchise: unique, charming characters and irreverent humour
  • New mechanics! During the Con, you’ll get a chance to build your own comic book that you'll get to see by the end of the run.
  • Intimate conversations to get to know your favourite characters.
  • TONS of beautiful art!
  • You can play with friends via local and online multiplayer!
  • Compete for the heart of a character! If you share your romantic tastes with your friends, be ready for some stiff competition.
  • There's a sexy clown. Honk!

As someone who is not a big dating sim fan, I actually enjoyed the original quite a bit which was surprising.

At this point the mere idea of having a clown that isn't scary is kind of fresh.
