Wine 9.9 was released Friday as the latest development release for the Windows compatibility layer to run more apps and games on Linux.
Here's the highlights:
- Support for new Wow64 mode in ODBC.
- Improved CPU detection on ARM platforms.
- Removal of a number of obsolete features in WineD3D.
- Various bug fixes.
38 bugs were marked as solved too including issues for: Shadowgrounds Survivor, Crysis 2, Syberia (GOG), Dweebs and Dweebs 2, Assassin's Creed Unity, Cybernoid 2, Assassin's Creed Syndicate, Total War: Shogun 2, Moorhuhn Director's Cut, Final Fantasy XI Online, FlatOut 1, Fallout 3, Spelunky and more.
