Enshrouded, the big open world survival and crafting game from Keen Games, just had the big Enshrouded: Melodies of the Mire update released. Should be good news for Steam Deck players.
Some of what's new includes a new area called The Blackmire that has new quests, gameplay challenges, new enemies and much more. There's also a big improvement to player progression, with individual multiplayer quests, so you can do them with or without friends while playing online. The game is also about to get a lot more musical too with the introduction of musical instruments, there's a new vanity system to customise your style, permission settings for servers, combat improvements and much more.

While it did already work on Steam Deck, the performance in a word - sucked. It was really bad in lots of areas, especially as you explored more and built more, it just wasn't good. Buried right at the bottom of the patch notes they mentioned "Enshrouded has been further optimized for the Steam Deck." which is great to see. Hopefully we will see more of that to come, but it is in Early Access so it's not finished.
Even if you play on desktop, optimisations for devices like Steam Deck should help improve performance overall.
However, there seems to be an issue on desktop Linux with Mouse+Keyboard input that the developers are now investigating. A workaround posted on Reddit might work for you:
Yes. Navigate to the game's directory, open your terminal emulator there and run
perl -pi -e 's/wine_get_version/frog_get_version/g' ./enshrouded.exe
(make sure you have Perl installed).
Update: the above should be solved in the hotfix.
You can buy it on Steam.
This dedication is something we should be happy about.
