Inspired by animated cursor-chasing cat software like Neko and the mobile app Neko Atsume, KittyToy is a simple little casual chill-out game about stray cats. Made with Godot Engine, it's free to grab (you can donate too) from the itch.io page.

Imagine something a bit like a Tamagotchi, a digital pet app, but here you're trying to keep the strays happy so you earn lots of coins to keep adding more to your little area. The happier they are when they leave, the more coins you get, but you can also pop a collar on them to adopt them and then they won't leave.

The developer just put up version 0.9 adding in a whole bunch of new items and features like wall decorations, new floor lamps, a message log, a "cat-alog" for looking back on the past, new heart effects for when the cats are donig something they like and more in preparation for future updates.

Just a nice simple chill game tip for you.

See more on the itch.io page.

I just gave it a try in my browser, and this is lovely. It reminds me a little bit of running Dogz in windowed mode, back in the 1990s!

We had Catz and Dogz 4 on PC back in the day. I made the most mutt animals I could by breeding all the breeds together in a giant family tree (and no, you couldn't make a Great Dane mate with a Chihuahua. It just wouldn't let you do it. lol)

I'm sure IRL a boy chihuahua would be willing to try. Tiny dogs are all mountain climbers.

Loved Dogz growing up, actually been playing Petz 4 (catz and dogz combined) lately, had to use VM though even with wine I couldn't get it working right
Not working on either of my desktop in browser, just gets null function error
