If you're still somehow on the fence about buying a Steam Deck, here's a good chance for you to get one cheaper as Valve given two models a discount.
With the introduction of the Steam Deck OLED in November 2023, the Steam Deck LCD 64GB and 512GB are being phased out and eventually won't be sold any more. The main models that will continue are the 256GB LCD, 512GB OLED and 1TB OLED Steam Decks.
So to help things along Valve has given the Steam Deck LCD 64GB and 512GB a 15% discount, which will last until July 11th 10am PDT / 5PM UTC. This is of course only until stocks lasts, so you may want to be quick to secure one.

As a happy owner of an LCD Steam Deck and using it every night for gaming, to me that's an absolute bargain, if I didn't own one right now, I'd snap that up in a heart beat.

Idem, I got a 'refurbished' LCD Deck and I love it, I've played IDK how many hours of Speed Dreams on it, it's awesome.

I only own the LCD Deck, but in my opinion it's no less worthy of purchase than the OLED model. I mean, Valve surely wouldn't have released it otherwise? 
And for me personally, the upgrades aren't really that meaningful. I mostly use it at home, so battery life doesn't matter. I don't think I need an OLED screen, as I'm perfectly happy with mine on the LCD Deck, and I don't really fancy screen burn-in that OLEDs are susceptible to. Also, the new WIFI chip wouldn't make that much a difference, as my internet speed is already slower than the old chip. Maybe the bigger screen + less bezels would be cool though. But that's not enough reason for me to buy another Deck. I bought the 64GB model and upgrade the internal storage to 1TB, that was certainly cheaper than paying premium for Valve's storage options

There's a micro sd card slot at the bottom of the Steam Deck. Just plug in a card, format it (Steam does that for you in the settings menu) and when you want to install a game, just select the sd card as the install location. Couldn't be any easier.
