That's it, I'm going to need a holiday for this one. Streets of Rogue 2 from Matt Dabrowski and tinyBuild is due to enter Early Access on August 14th.

Here you'll get to experience unprecedented freedom to topple a corrupt president by any means necessary. With a full open-world, you can even just go and chill in the countryside somewhere, or just cause total chaos in various cities. The choice here is yours.

With loads of unusual playable classes including a dirty mob boss, a hardworking farmer, a genius-level hacker, or even a blood-sucking vampire. How about sneaking around as a ninja? Or having the power to conjure up a horde of flesh-eating zombies? It seems to take everything great about the first and just make it a whole lot bigger. Complete with destructible environments and the ability to play in co-op with friends.

Check out the brand new trailer below and you might even spot a little word from a familiar website in it:

I rarely buy any new games (apart from Super Video Golf, check it out) simply because of my backlog but this is a must buy - brilliant dev and just amazing gameplay! Bring it on

I look at streets of rage (both of them) and I am so confused. What the hell is this game about?

I'm so hyped for this. Almost immediately fell in love with the first game when I found it on itch.io with me and my couse buying it day one when it came to Steam. The first game is already so much chaotic fun and it looks like 2 is upping the chaos even more. Can't wait.

It's essentially GTA but you progress through floors with different quests. More direction, less sprawling open world life-sim, possibly more chaos (basically everything is destructible).

Edit: I guess this game is open world as well, different from the first one.

I had never looked at the first game but always just assumed it was a Streets of Rage clone lol

The first game was a lot of fun, but I don't think I played it "properly" very much. I just messed around the sandbox, causing chaos or trying to avoid it, but I never rolled up my sleeves to work through much of the content. GTA can be like that for me too, but since the story tends to have good hooks, I tend to keep coming back to the story and making progress regularly.
