Hans-Kristian Arntzen today announced the released of VKD3D-Proton version 2.13, the Direct3D 12 API on top of Vulkan translator for Proton.

This release brings additions for Shader Model 6.8, interop for OpenVR / OpenXR on Proton, reduced memory bloat on AMD cards, re-implemented VK_NV_low_latency2 to fix some issues with heavy stuttering, a ReBAR tweak for UPLOAD heaps so only GPUs above 8GB VRAM use it (stopping some performance issues for low VRAM), plus various other fixes and improvements.

On top of that there's some specific fixes for:

  • Hellblade 2
  • Arma Reforger
  • Ghost of Tsushima
  • Assassin's Creed Mirage
  • Halo Infinite
  • Shadow of the Tomb Raider
