Pizza Hero is a new Vampire Survivor-like that you can currently add a free copy of to your Steam account for a limited time. There's no date mentioned yet when it will become a paid game, but it's in their plans, so you may want to quickly add it to your Steam Library to keep it.

Seems it works well enough on Linux desktop / Steam Deck with Proton 9, although you do need to currently force-quit the game as it seems to stay open when you exit. Apart from that, a fun little idea to customize a pizza slice with toppings and spices as your powers while fighting off waves of enemies.

Current Features:

  • 15+ Damage Toppings.
  • 6+ Passive Toppings.
  • Upgradable overall stats.
  • Auto rotate/firing controls (with option to focus different enemy types - Tank, Damage and Support).
  • Endless gameplay.
  • Survive waves to unlock the next stage.

Check it out free (for now) on Steam. It does have some items you can buy in the form of Pizza Tokens, which the developer said is purely to support development.

Text is far too small for me on steam deck. Anyone else finding it unreadable?

Not tested it myself yet, so just spitballing here: Is there a setting to change the font-size, hidden somewhere?
