Inspired by Bookworm Adventures, developer Balthazar and publisher 2 Left Thumbs are working on the roguelite word puzzle RPG Sternly Worded Adventures and there's a demo available.

Here you travel through a "forested peninsula with Yorkshire-sounding place names fighting monsters with the power of words to uncover whatever dark secrets may be lurking beyond". The developer only just in the last week launched a big update to the demo that includes controller improvements, new accessibility options, and lots of new gameplay features.

Downloaded the demo. "Missing game executable".

To work around this, open the game install directory (Manage -> Browse local files), create a directory called bin, then symlink or copy SternlyWordedAdventures.AppImage to that directory with the name SternlyWordedAdventures.

EDIT: The dev has fixed the path and the workaround is now unnecessary.

Oh, that artwork makes me nostalgic for classic Puzzle Pirates. It's cute!
