Saber Interactive have confirmed that Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 will get full Steam Deck support, although not soon. The game is due to release September 9th.

In the most recent community update they have an FAQ at the end that notes:

Will the game be playable on Steam Deck?

We are working on official Steam Deck support, but it's not ready yet. We’re currently targeting the end of the year for full Steam Deck support.

This is great, because they also confirmed it will have Easy Anti-Cheat, so without their support with enabling it (as EAC is supported on Linux) it wouldn't work. This also means hopefully they will do plenty of performance tuning for the Steam Deck, which means it would run well on Desktop Linux too.

Hopefully at least at launch the anti-cheat will be enabled, even if they haven't done the rest that's needed for full Steam Deck Verified.

Additionally they confirmed there's no DRM (Denuvo or otherwise), it will have full PC and console cross-play, it will have DLSS2 / FSR2 at launch with later versions planned post-launch,

I absolutely love the warhammer universe, so this is interesting, BUT ... it looks like this is primarily a multiplayer shooter? Is that right? It constantly mentions pvp and pve on the store page. If so that's fine, and I hope people enjoy it, but not for me. If it has some sort of solo single player campaign I'd be interested for sure. Gives me bigtime old school gears of war vibes.

The Steam page says SP as well as MP.
The first one had both, too.

Wait, I can play with my friend with playstation 5?
F**k, I must purchase new pc...
I find the fact that they're charging people a premium to get the game four days early to be disgusting. Although it says as much about those willing to shell out ther extra money. It also seems geared towards a co-op experience which I don't tend to enjoy. Probably pass on this.
