Expanding greatly from the original, Kind Words 2 (lofi city pop) from Popcannibal is out now with Linux support. Note: the developer sent me a key.
Sometimes, all you need are a few kind words to set your day off right or to cheer you up from a bad week. That's pretty much what Kind Words 2 is all about. You write and receive completely anonymous letters, all real people that are also playing it. The sequel is a far bit more than that though with you able to go out and explore a little, giving you more opportunities for letter writing. It includes everything from the original game (the letters are backwards compatible), remastered and available inside this one too.

In this one there's also shops you can visit to change your look, write and share poems or listen to others, visit the forest to write chain-letters and more. It's just thoroughly sweet.
Calling it a game is perhaps doing it dirty, it's not a game in the sense that you play it, it acts more like an anonymous social network with a specific laser-focus of just being nice to everyone and getting some advice, or getting some handy tips and suggestions.
Available to buy on Steam.
The number of dreadful, horrible, traumatising things and experiences you're reading in that game completely eclipsed the - I think intended to be the primary if not sole takeaway - feeling of "aww, that's a nice note".
