Finally huh? They sure kept us waiting. Red Dead Redemption from Rockstar Games is now set for a PC launch on October 29.

Working together with Double Eleven the PC release will come enhanced with native 4K resolution at up to 144hz on compatible hardware, monitor support for both Ultrawide (21:9) and Super Ultrawide (32:9), HDR10 support, and full keyboard and mouse functionality. It will also feature NVIDIA DLSS 3.7 and AMD FSR 3.0, NVIDIA DLSS Frame Generation, adjustable draw distances, shadow quality settings and more.

It will also include Undead Nightmare plus bonus content from the Game of the Year Edition.

One still annoying thing about this release is that according to the Steam page it "Requires 3rd-Party Account: Rockstar Games". For a single-player game that's always a nuisance since there's no multiplayer content in this release.

It will be available from Steam.

Will you be buying it? Hopefully it will run well with Valve's Proton.

Hard pass.
Same for me. As much as I'd like to try the game, I won't create an account for a singleplayer game.

I honestly did not know that it was NOT on the PC already. Better late than never.
Quoting: ShmerlGOG release hopefully too.

Ha Ha Ha - I like your sense of humor, Shmerl. ;-)
I always ask WHY do I need an account for a single player game.

(having worked for a software company, I already know the answer)

Lol, I don't really expect it. Especially with that obsession with some external accounts and etc. Though Sony did that too and then dropped the idea for some of former PS games. After all sales matter more than dumb control freakery.

This is one of those games that I missed because obviously I'm a member of the GLorious PC Gaming Master Race and have been since 1996. Been meaning to emulate it for like ten years, even have a PS3 copy that I never fired up. Glad to have this one coming to Steam finally. It's in the wishlist.
