In a genre full of clones and copycats, Cats vs Cthulhu is a very unique bullet-heaven survivor-like where you bounce around the arenas trying to avoid all the enemies while collecting everything to power up. Note: developer sent a copy to our Steam Curator.

Here instead of running around, you fling yourself around at different angles and speeds to either avoid or smash into every weird creature that comes along. While also trying to collect stars and since you're a cat, fish and boxes to power yourself up during a run and unlock more cats and arenas. It's seriously weird but ridiculously charming and entertaining.

Highlights

  • Dozen of cats to choose from - Every cat has unique attributes. Recognize their strengths and weaknesses and adjust your build accordingly.
  • Buy yourself something comfortable and powerful - Increase your attack speed, improve your durability or unleash the power of the rainbow! Upgrades, People, Upgrades!
  • Injection of Love - Eat your weapons to gain permanent buffs.
  • Meta-Progression - While fighting Cthulhu you collect cardboards, which you can then use to buy new cats or arenas.

The developer told me "It's a small game but I poured my soul into it". It's a fantastic little coffee-break game that's nice and different. As the waves go on and you power up, along with the different enemy types it really does get rather chaotic.
