Summer Islands from Marttalin Games is a real-time strategy business simulator and after a few years of Early Access the 1.0 release is out now.

Clearly inspired by the classic Holiday Island, a classic from 1996. Summer Islands takes the same idea, and the same visual style, and made what you could call a spiritual successor to it. There's plenty of differences though it's not just a modern clone.

You can create an almost infinite number of maps with different seeds. One island, several or the Summer Islands mode. From small 100x100 maps up to 1500x1500 maps. From high mountains or just sandy islands. You'll be building up the perfect island resort filling it up with hotels, restaurants and various other tourist attractions. While also managing your income, debts, natural disasters and potential sabotage from opponents.

This is a classically designed building sim like the earlier Sim City, Holiday Island, Transport Tycoon and other similar games.

I actually loved Holiday Island, I remember fondly how it hooked me for weeks when I first discovered it a great many years ago when I still had hair. Nice to see smaller developers bringing back such similar games.

Summer Islands | Release Date: 21st June 2019
