Decky Loader, the popular plugin system for Steam Deck / SteamOS, has a fresh release out making the plugin store a bit more useful. Be sure to check out my full guide to get you going: How to set up Decky Loader on Steam Deck / SteamOS for easy plugins.

With the 3.1.3 stable release out now: when you go into the store it will actually properly show you what you already have installed, which it didn't do well before. Plugins you have installed will have their button state Reinstall if you already have it, along with a tick on the current version you have installed.

If you pick a different version, it will then again change the button again to note the current status like if you're going to do a Downgrade or Update.

Full changelog:

  • feat: sync with local plugin status in store by @alvaro-cuesta in #733
  • Bump aiohttp from 3.10.10 to 3.10.11 in /backend by @dependabot in #728
  • Bump cross-spawn from 7.0.3 to 7.0.6 in /frontend by @dependabot in #727
  • Bump jinja2 from 3.1.4 to 3.1.5 in /backend by @dependabot in #738
  • chore(flake): Add setuptools in order to build on a minimal Nix system by @acovaci in #741
  • Translations update from Weblate by @WerWolvTranslationBot in #737
  • Fixes for remote binary downloads
    • Plugins using remote binaries will now download them properly. Sorry this one took so long to fix!
