GOG's special Preservation Program, where they ensure games are kept up to date and continue working on modern systems, has expanded with 11 LEGO games now included. That's on top of the recent announcement about F.E.A.R. also joining up soon.
Lots of games get lost to time due to developers moving on and so it's nice to see such preservation efforts, especially when the games are DRM free too.
With today's announcement these have newly launched on GOG:
- The LEGO Movie - Videogame - 80% off.
- The LEGO Movie 2 Videogame - 85% off.
- LEGO City Undercover - 80% off.
- The LEGO NINJAGO® Video Game - 80% off.
A bunch of LEGO games GOG already had have also now joined in the Preservation Program:
- LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean: The Video Game -75% off.
- LEGO Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures - 75% off
- LEGO Indiana Jones 2: The Adventure Continues - 75% off.
- LEGO Batman: The Videogame - 85% off.
- LEGO Batman 2 DC Super Heroes - 80% off.
- LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham - 75% off.
- LEGO The Lord of the Rings - 80% off.

Does GoG preservation program will have an impact on Linux gaming ? As far as I understand, game preservation for Linux is mostly maintaining Proton as native games tends to not preserve well due to the rapid evolution of dependencies on Linux.

It's not specific to Linux no.

Never got into Lego as a franchise, but I'm told the games are usually great, so this is great news.
