Valve have released a fresh update to the special Proton Hotfix version. This fixes up issues on Steam Deck / Linux across Marvel Rivals and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. If you're confused on all the different Proton versions see my guide for more info.

Writing on Bluesky, Valve developer Pierre-Loup Griffais said across two posts:

A Proton Hotfix has been deployed to address the crash on startup with Indiana Jones and the Great Circle on the latest update.

And also:

A Proton Hotfix has been deployed earlier today to address the intermittent stutter issue with Marvel Rivals.

Nice to see that Valve can get moving so quickly on issues in popular games. Hopefully with SteamOS rolling out to more devices we'll see developers test their updates more often instead of things getting broken like this.

If you have any Proton compatibility manually selected for them in the Properties on Steam, you can just unselect them to let Proton Hotfix be picked up for them automatically which Valve have now set as the default for both games.

Want to know how to change Proton versions? I also have a guide available for that.
