Back in 2014 the mech combat game Dark Horizons: Mechanized Corps arrived on Steam in Early Access but it was eventually abandoned. Now, a few of the original team got back together to bring it back as Mechanized Corps: Rebirth.
So if you're in the mood for a new mech shooter, perhaps this is one to keep on your radar. Giving a very brief bit of background their team said this in a post on Steam:
First, Mechanized Corps: Rebirth (MCR) is by a few original Max Gaming developers from the previous Early Access game Dark Horizons: Mechanized Corps (DHMC) and games Lore: Aftermath and Dark Horizons: Lore Invasion (DHLI).
Last year, in 2024, a few of the original Dark Horizons Universe folks got back together to revive the tabletop game and, at the same time, wanted to bring a PC gameplay experience back to Steam.
From a scope standpoint, we feel that MCR is a much more reasonable game for X10. We want to provide solid mech gameplay and fun multi-player and single-player action and ensure we use the work we do on the tabletop game to enhance the PC experience.
All owners of the original have been gifted the new edition free.
