Palworld is getting crossplay in 'late March'

By -

Pocketpair have announced that sometime real soon you'll be able to team up with players across different platforms in the popular monster catcher Palworld.

They said it will come in "late March" but didn't give any other specifics on the date. We'll just have to wait and see. In the announcement they said:

This update will implement multiplayer between different platforms and the ability to move Pals between worlds.

Crossplay is supported between all currently released platforms, including Steam, Xbox, PS5 and Mac. Please enjoy crossplay with your family and friends!

For more details, please check the release notes that will be published on the day of the update.

In case you missed it, Pocketpair announced a roadmap back in February with plenty more planned to arrive for the game including actually having an ending. Nice to see one part of the roadmap will be coming soon! Optimization is included in their plans, which will be good to see, since it definitely could do with some to perform better on devices like the Steam Deck.

Palworld is rated Steam Deck Playable by Valve and Gold on ProtonDB. I've played quite a lot of it and can confirm for Desktop Linux users it does run great.

Palworld | Release Date: 19th January 2024

Very nice, i wished more games did that. Dying Light 1&2 for example.
