Valve have released a quick follow-up update to the big SteamOS 3.7 preview on Steam Deck to fix up some issues people have been reporting with the sound quality.
SteamOS 3.7.1 "Safe and Sound" includes these changes:
General
- Fixed a sound quality regression on Steam Deck OLED.
- Fixed a sound volume regression on Steam Deck LCD.
I didn't actually notice issues across mine but it seems quite a few people did. Nice to see Valve get that sorted so quickly.

Does someone know what changed exactly? A pipewire version update, or just a configuration file that changed? Or something else entirely.

Yes! This has been bothering me ever since I upgraded to 3.7.0.

From what I saw they also fixed the bluetooth wake up on PS4 controller on LCD model. https://github.com/ValveSoftware/SteamOS/issues/913
