A-RED Walking Robot looks like it could be an interesting puzzle-platformer. You control a wind-up robot toy, tasked with getting through a workshop full of different trials.
There's no release date for it yet, but the developer recently announced Linux support is now available for the Steam Playtest. The developer said it's a "A miniature nerve-wrecking/patience-proving journey where you are granted to fall… a lot". More about it:
Pilot A-RED, a charming wind-up robot, as you face the ingenious trials set by its creator in a fascinating workshop full of challenges, surprises, and enemies.
With the help of different physical mechanics and precise control, you must overcome multiple challenges: master balance skills, solve intricate mazes, move objects with your tiny hands, shoot lasers to move obstacles, defeat enemies, use electricity to activate switches, and even fly with your jetpack to cover great distances!
But nobody said it would be easy; A-RED’s vital energy comes from its wind-up mechanism... Can you keep it always running?
