I have no idea what actual genre LOOTPLOT belongs in, or how to properly describe it. You go through rounds of sorting through your inventory and expanding it, trying to create crazy synergies and keep increasing your points needed to beat each level. If you love watching numbers go up constantly, it's definitely for you. Note: personal purchase.
The idea here is that you pick a starting Cat, each with their own different bonuses. There's 12 Cats in it right now, including the tutorial cat. Then the game presents you with a small board of inventory tiles and your starting items. Each round you need to hit a specific amount of points, which you accrue based on your inventory items being activated in a set order from bottom left up to top right.
Positioning all the items is key, as are the slots themselves with lots of different types that have bonuses. You also expand your inventory space with various types of slots as the rounds and levels go on, eventually building up a huge board.

It reminds me in a way of inventory management games like Backpack Hero, blended with a bit of Ballionaire for the constant flow of points and general craziness.
The tutorial is a bit deceptive on how easy it is, just to show you how nuts it can end up when you progress through it. The actual main game is a fair bit more challenging to hit the points score needed to complete each level. Still somewhat on the easy side though.
From my time spent with it I can definitely see myself playing endless hours of this, to see just how ridiculous I can get it to be with the points system and see if I can make some crazy loops. A great casual game just to relax with.
The game is currently in Early Access with the developer noting it won't be long before it's finished with them estimating only around 3 months. It has basically everything to be a complete game already, but they plan to add in more items and possibly even a PvE or PvP mode eventually.
