Lead a team of mercenaries in the tactical top-down shooter Regulators out now

Originally called Regulator City and now just Regulators, it's the latest action game from indie developer Orangepixel known for the likes of Gunslugs, Heroes of Loot, Residual and more.

Regulators is a top-down tactical shooter that puts you in charge of a small squad of mercenaries hired to clear the city from mutating villains. Enter buildings from the streets, rooftops or sewers, and complete mission goals to locate the scientist commanding the mutating villains. You get access to a whole lot of gadgets, weapon upgrades and tool to help along with your recruits that level up and learn various tasks.

Game Features:

  • Top-down shooter mixing tactics, strategy, and full on gun-blazing.
  • A single player game that feels like a co-op multiplayer game.
    Giving the player an elite team of NPC-mercenaries that follow their lead and help out taking down the many enemies and performing various tasks.
  • Various missions and 5-second mini tasks to perform.
    Including data collecting, hostage rescue, building-destruction, and targeted take-downs.
  • Levels are fully designed lay-outs mixed in with some OrangePixel procedural randomization special-sauce, for extra replay value.
  • Five playable characters, 2 unlocked and 3 unlockable.
    Each with their own special dodge movement and super-power move.
  • Two-player split-screen co-op mode
  • Level editor.

As usual with Orangepixel, the release comes with Native Linux support.
