While still giving us no actual details, AYANEO are hyping up the AYANEO 3 Code: REVO handheld that's due to be announced properly sometime soon.

Unlike Valve who confirmed again recently they are waiting for a generational leap for a Steam Deck 2, AYANEO are doing yet another handheld with the AYANEO 3.

After the big release of ChimeraOS 46 recently that further expanded the gaming handheld support with this Linux distribution, ChimeraOS 46-1 is out now to clean up some issues.

ChimeraOS Linux 46 has released today and there's a whole lot of improvements for this handheld and couch-gaming focused Linux distro.

ChimeraOS Linux 45-1 is out now as a minor update to the current release, but it still comes with a healthy dose of handheld gaming improvements for people who don't want Windows.

We were so close to seeing another gaming handheld ship with Linux out of the box that isn't the Steam Deck, but it seems AYANEO with the AYANEO NEXT LITE weren't convinced enough and so they've changed their minds.

AYANEO has now revealed the specifications and pricing for the Linux powered AYANEO Next Lite, which will be using the SteamOS-like HoloISO, although customized by AYANEO for the handheld.

Finally we're seeing another handheld vendor jump in with Linux. The AYANEO NEXT LITE was announced today and much like the Steam Deck, they plan to ship it with SteamOS! NOTE: ARTICLE UPDATED.

AYANEO, maker of some pretty popular gaming handhelds, announced that their own Linux operating system for their devices will be released this year.

Looks like Linux is truly becoming a gaming platform for the masses now, as AYANEO are throwing their hat in the ring with AYANEO OS on their hardware with the AYANEO AIR.
