Seems moi rai games are sticking to what they know, with them moving on from Monster Sanctuary (which is still being updated) to their new announcement with Aethermancer.
While we have no idea how well it will work on Linux and Steam Deck with Proton just yet, we at least now have a date. Starfield from Bethesda is releasing September 6th.
This is a bit of an odd one. The Legend of Heroes: Kuro no Kiseki has been released on Steam, for the second time and now it has Steam Deck optimizations too.
Forspoken has been controversial for quite a lot of a reasons, but also a title many were looking forward to. The release was a bit rough but the developers are cleaning it up now and it has some Steam Deck fixes.
Some of my first real experiences of using Linux as a child came through the use of Knoppix, one of the first distributions to popularize the use of Live CDs. This allowed me to explore a wide swath of Linux applications. One of these was a role playing game which I recall I never got to work well, but lingered on in my imagination regardless.
Coromon is another attempt to make a Pokemon styled game and while it is a lot of fun, the game had a major frustrating problem on Steam Deck and Linux desktop with Proton that has now been solved.
fheroes2 is a free and open source game engine reimplementation of the classic Heroes of Might and Magic II, and after many development releases they've finally hit the big 1.0.
Immortals Fenyx Rising is another from Ubisoft as they continue putting their games back on Steam, and sadly this release seems a bit messy on Steam Deck.
