like button missing?

Wasnt there some heart icon to click next to the likes-counter? Checked on 2 articles, it's gone for me. But the pixelomara article has 3 likes as of writing, so it's not gone for everyone apparently.

If you use uBlock (Origin), click the eye icon in the uBlock control panel to disable cosmetic filters on this site. Might apply to other ad blockers as well. I think this happens because the same element contains social media links/buttons.

I indeed do, and that did the trick! Thanks a lot.

Yeah I don't know why they keep doing it, it's all built directly into the website.

That actually helped me for a different website where I suddenly had the entire comment section disappear for me.
I did figure out it was uBlock which did that, but so far my solution was to disable it entirely on the website (which of course had certain downsides ).
But turning off only the cosmetic filters did the trick without downsides.

Funny thing is that uBO stopped hiding the like button for me, but it started hiding the social media buttons at the bottom of the page. Since I haven't changed the filter selection in ages, one of the selected ones must have changed.

Also stupid, because they're also entirely built into GOL. They're just images that are links.

uBO is definitely more aggressive than some counterparts.
I guess its generally better effectiveness comes at the cost of a bunch of false positives.

That's good to know, so they aren't possibly "problematic".
