Thinking of switching over to xenForo forum software.

Okay so phpbb is pretty limited in what it can do and i have been watching xenForo closely http://xenforo.com/community/, it may be $140 but it's money i'm willing to spend for GOL, it's such a pleasure to use!

Have a look and let me know what you think, it just seems more err up to date with how the web is phpbb seems very...old?

I am building my own software in my spare time too but it's noway near ready for use on a production site - mainly a project for me to learn more about php and mysql (a fair amount of code from it was used to build GOL!). Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

Re: Thinking of switching over to xenForo forum software.

From my point of view the current GOL website and forums seems fine, what do you want to add/change that you can't do with phpbb but can with xenForo ?
