Hammerware has released a demo version of their game family Farm for Linux. They have said the release date will be April 15th for the final product. Family farm is currently available to pre-order with 20% off at €11.99.
QuoteLinux version

That's right, we have Family Farm game for Linux too. Download the demo andy try it yourself. We use Ubuntu for building binaries, but you should be fine with any other modern Linux distro.

We are preparing package for Ubuntu Software Center, it will be ready when Ubuntu 11.04 is out.

In the meantime, you can download gzipped tarball archive. Click on the downloaded file with right mouse button and click on "Extract here" if you don't mind the files being extracted in current directory. When files are extracted, open "familyfarm" directory and execute run-32bit.sh or run-64bit.sh depending on architecture of your system. If one does not run, try the other one.

Known issues

The sound is not working with 64bit build. The IrrKlang Sound engine we are using does not have 64bit libraries. The game will be mute until we get 64bit libraries or switch to another sound engine.

The game will not exit correctly if working directory is different from executable (or shell script) directory.

There may be problems with opensource display drivers. This can be solved by installing proprietary display drivers. Click on System in launch menu, locate Administration and click on Additional Drivers. Follow instructions on screen.

There are problems with Intel display drivers. Unfortunately, this cannot be solved. The game may run, but if it doesnt, there's no way to fix it.

Hmm... keeping that many cows in that little space will mean that the ground underneath them will be bare in no time at all... poor cows... :p

Good to see yet another game coming to Software Centre.

Not sure what to make of the game though, will try the demo and see how it fairs.
