Cobalt coming soon! Platformer published by Mojang

By -
Mojang the creators behind the super indie hit Minecraft are publishing (and helping to develop now too) a game called Cobalt and have posted an update on it.

Just to keep everyone up to to date they are planning Linux, Mac and Windows version and will be going along the same route the went with Minecraft. They will release alpha, beta and stable versions.

QuoteWhat is Cobalt?
Cobalt is an awesome platform game featuring several game modes in both hot-seat multiplayer and in singleplayer. Cobalt comes with a game editor where players can create their own maps and adventures. Cobalt is ALSO a platform game engine that can be used to create new modes or completely new games.

The Alpha versions are planned to be Windows only and once it enter BETA the Linux and Mac ports will be done.

Pre-ordering the game will also work the same way with Cobalt as it did with Minecraft - it will be cheaper.
