Dirk Dashing 2: E.V.I.L Eye v0.7

By -
Better late than never (Sorry!), MyGameCompany has released the next preview of the upcomming platformer mainly for the younger audience named Dirk Dashing 2!

The announcement is below;

I'm pleased to announce the release of v0.7 of Dirk Dashing 2: E.V.I.L Eye!

This update adds 8 new levels for Part 3 of the 5-part story. The new levels are available to pre-order customers as part of the full version beta, which now contains a total of 24 levels. Part 3 is titled "The Sinister Skyscraper", and it picks up immediately after the events at the end of Part 2. Dirk must make his way up the Conquertech headquarters skyscraper to eavesdrop on a secret meeting, but he has no idea what's waiting for him at the top...

Version 0.7 also builds on the stealth abilities that were added in v0.6.3 by adding a new gadget for the Part 3 levels: night vision goggles that allow Dirk to see in the dark. The night vision goggles gives Dirk a distinct tactical advantage, because guards and E.V.I.L agents cannot see him in the dark. So if you turn out the lights and equip a set of night vision goggles, you can tip-toe past enemies unseen and unheard, or knock them out before they ever know you're there. This is very helpful when dealing with more powerful enemies like Bombshelle or the Ninja. Many of the new levels have light switches scattered about so you can turn lights on or off at will.

Other changes in v0.7 include new music for Chapters 2-1 and 2-X, new computer lab ambient sounds for Chapter 1-5, and various bug fixes.
