Alex the awesome developer behind the Steel Storm series sent me word on a new portal website he has put up to help modders;

QuoteHi Liam,

I've launched Kot-in-Action Modding Portal at which I will be posting tutorials on making content and code for DarkPlaces engine in general, but more specifically for our games, starting with Steel Storm.

Really hoping for it to kick off big. Darkplaces is worthy engine as you may notice by checking it's features list and I wish people would recognize it and use if for game dev.

Speaking of tutorials, I am toying with the idea of making an expansion pack for Steel Storm, with just new maps and missions, and use that for the tutorials.

well that would be good for all sides, you makes some money from the pack and making the guides, we get new steelstorm action and the community gets a brilliant guide :)
