3079 now on Desura!

By -
The odd Minecraft and Fallout inspired 3079 is now on Desura, a game we briefly covered before.

You can currently buy it for £5.75 as it's cheaper while in Alpha.

I gave it a test myself and took a picture, it's very odd;

It's funny reading the comments on the Desura page for it, it seems people bash it, play it and then love it. The rating is quite high on it's page as well.

Has anyone had a chance to try it yet, if so tell us what you think! Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

Tried the demo for a bit last night, but could not figure it out. Guess I need to read the games documentation a bit more?

All of these people shouting Minecraft rip-off are hilarious though; just because a game uses voxels does not make it a Minecraft clone! Sure, it also uses Java, but so do a lot of games.

I like the fact that voxels have gotten more exposure, as they are interesting technically, but to have them somehow inexorably tied to Minecraft is incredibly ignorant.

It looks to be interesting I will be following it :)

Minecraft wasn't the first by any measure, Minecraft actually copied another game to begin with anyway which annoys me all these people on Desura commenting saying OMG MINECRAFT type comments as if to say 3079 is really bad.
